Be careful with embedded content! This is still considered as regular data traffic, as it is no longer the bundled app's own content. This means that your general mobile data will be used to access it. Therefore, the following activities may consume your mobile data:
  • playing or downloading embedded video and audio files
  • opening external references (e.g. references of websites, articles, video sharing platforms)
  • opening advertisements
  • starting audio- and videocalls from messaging apps
  • updating and downloading apps
If you have an Apple device, make sure the “Private Relay” feature is turned off in iCloud setting so you can (continue to) enjoy the benefits of your Passes.

Good to know

We will take care about your Vodafone Pass data traffic
The own content of the applications, included in the Vodafone Passes, does not consumer your mobile data. Thus, if you are uploading a photo to Instagram, or watching video on Youtube, your data amount will not decrease.

You only need to have some minimal general data left to use your Vodafone Passes
This may be your standard data included in your subscription, or any other Plusz Adat option. It is important to have some minimal data left on your plan to keep Passes active. In case of your new subscription plans, if the entirety of your data runs out, the Vodafone Passes will be provided with an up/download speed of 0/0 Mbps. Purchase additional data (Plusz Adat) in the MyVodafone App, and the apps included in your Vodafone Pass package can be used again without consuming your mobile data.

Important info about the Video
Video Pass provides a 480p video resolution, which is optimized to the mobile handset available at the launch of the promotion. This option does not include access to the premium features of a video service provided by a third party for a monthly fee. For this paid content, a separate subscription is required by the video provider.

The Vodafone Pass experience follows you anywhere in the EU
You can use your Vodafone Passes in the EU the same way as in Hungary, as long as you have a data allowance that can be used free of charge in the EU, and you have some data left on that plan.

Not all the services of the applications are for free of charge
The applications itself do not consume your data, however Vodafone subscriptions do not apply for paid services included in the applications, so they can be purchased directly from the operator of the application. (e.g. purchasing stickers through Viber or watching premium content at Netflix)

Updating your apps uses your regular mobil data
Since the apps included in Vodafone Passes are not updated within the apps themselves, but through the GooglePlay or AppStore apps, updating your apps will be considered as regular mobile data usage.

Pass service is valid for personal usage and is not shareable
Vodafone Pass is for personal data usage, it can not be shared. To access Vodafone Pass, it requires downloading the mobile application of the given provider and the appropriate device and APN setting. Vodafone only provides internet access to the application and has no effect on the specific application and the usage conditions defined by each service provider. Separation of traffic types by Vodafone Pass is approximately, but not guaranteed 100% accuracy.
