  • For the start stop service, simply send a text message when you finished your parking.
  • If your fixed time parking ticket expires, you don't have to go back to the parking machine, just send another message.

You will receive a warning text message 15 minutes before your parking expires. The service is available in monthly plans and pay as you go plans alike.

Parking on the street

Start-stop parking

  • Text your license plate number to (+36 70) 763-XXXX where XXXX is the code of the parking zone. Please enter the digits of your license plate without spaces or hyphens. If your car is registered in a different country, you have to enter the country code of your licence plate after the numbers, separated by a comma (for example ABC123,SK).
  • You will receive a confirmation text message from the number belonging to the parking zone with the starting time and other details of your parking.
  • Always wait for the confirmation text message upon start or extension of your parking because it serves as a proof of valid parking.
  • To stop your parking, text STOP to the same number from which you initiated the parking. Alternatively, you can reply to the text message informing you about the start of your parking.
  • Attention! Only use STOP to terminate your parking, because other codes are not accepted. You will then get another text message on the termination of your parking and the applicable fee.

If you park with a side-car motorcycle (M), truck (T) or bus (B), enter an M, T or B after the licence plate, separated by a comma. For example: If you have Italian bus please use the following format: ABC123,I,B

If you have purchased a parking ticket over a text message, the system will remember your licence plate and connect it with your phone number. So next time it is enough if you send a blank text message to (+36 70) 763-XXXX.

If you send the proper SMS code to (+36 70) 763-1000 or any zone code, you can run a query on your parking related data (INFO code), the licence plate number connected to your phone number (RENDSZAM code), or you may delete your licence plate from the system (TÖRÖL code).

Bear in mind the maximum parking duration and free periods. From one phone number only one parking may be started or terminated at one time. If you have parking in progress for a given phone number it will be terminated when initiating a new one you will be informed about this by a text message. If you stop a parking in progress within 1 minute as of the starting time of your parking, the actual parking is deleted, and no new parking may be initiated within 15 minutes in the given zone.

In case of some parking zones after a given time your parking turns into daily ticket automatically.

Fixed time parking

  • It differs from start-stop type of parking since you have to enter the intended parking time in minutes after your licence plate number separated by a comma (for example XYZ567,60 - that is 60 minute long parking for the XYZ567 licence plate number).
  • If you terminate your parking earlier by texting STOP, you only have to pay for the time you actually parked for.

Bear in mind the maximum parking duration and free periods. From one phone number only one parking may be started or terminated at one time. If you have parking in progress for a given phone number it will be terminated when initiating a new one you will be informed about this by a text message.

How much does the service cost?

Budapest and cities in the country:

  • The parking fee depends on the planned parking time and the amount to be paid for parking in the given zone. The minimum parking fee is 15 minutes, which is always charged.
  • You will be charged an additional transaction fee of HUF 115.
  • The text message is charged according to your plan (normal rate text message in the network).
  • You have to pay separately for each parking.
  • In case of start-stop parking the amount payable for parking for the period (but maximum 4 hours), while in case of fixed term parking the amount payable for the given period is temporarily deposited from your account. When your parking expires and the terminator text message is sent to you, the amount remaining is automatically unlocked from your balance.

What to look for when using the service?

If you are parking in the street bear in mind the following:

  • It is important to enter your licence plate number without delimiters (for example XYZ567)
  • If you don't receive a confirmation text message on the start of your parking, repeat the transaction or call the Selfcare on 1270. Parking only starts when you receive the confirmation text message with the details of your parking.
  • Based on the licence plate numbers in our database the parking companies or authorised companies may check whether you have a valid mobile parking ticket.
  • You can start only one parking at a time from one phone number. If you start a new parking session from the same number, the actual one is stopped of which you are informed in a text message.
  • You will find the free periods on the parking machine, the maximum parking period and the code of the parking zone.

What do you have to do if you experience problems after using the service?

If you get a payment notice from the parking company but you had an ongoing parking. You can contact the parking company and show them the SMS message you have received about your parking. If you have already deleted the SMS, please contact us and we can provide you a note about your ongoing parking.
