Postpaid monthly invoices (content, charges, explanation)

What will my first invoice contain?

As the monthly fee and the selected options are always charged in advance, in the 'Monthly fees' ('Havidíjak') section of the first invoice you will find:

  • Total monthly fees for the next billing cycle in advance
  • Fraction monthly fees for the period between the contract start and the first close of the billing cycle
  • The usage and other charges that generated between the contract start and the close of the bill cycle

What kind of sections has my invoice?

The invoice contains five main sections: allowances and their consumptions ('Lebeszélhető tételek felhasználása'), monthly fees ('Havidíjak'), usage charges ('Forgalmi díjak'), other charges ('Egyéb díjak') and mobile payments ('Mobilvásárlások'). These can be found separately on the 'Fees invoiced' ('Kiszámlázott díjak') page.

How are monthly charges invoiced?

The monthly fee and the selected options are always charged in advance for the next billing cycle. Some options hava one time fee. Theese are charged for the day of the activation. However, as for call, text and data download/upload usage the bill refers to the actual cycle closed in the bill.

Where can I find the discounts, bonuses and credits in my invoice?

Normal discounts wich are part of the contract are shown in the monthly fee ('Havidíjak') and usage fee ('Forgalmi díjak') sections. Temporarly allowances shown in the allowances ('Lebeszélhető tételek felhasználása') section.

Credit notes due to bill complaint can be found on the legal page's balance information 'Egyenlegközlő információ' section.

Compensations can be found on the legal page's balance modifying ('Egyenlegmódosító tételek') section.

How can I check my overdue amount?

Ont he legal page of the bill you can find the 'Balances' ('Egyenlegközlő információk') section where all of the payments, and the prvious balance is shown. So you can check not only the actual billed amount but the actual balance as well.

However if you have any issue about your debit, you can call 1750 for free of charge from inland, where our colleagues can help you on weekdays between 08:30am and 19:30pm.

How can I pay my overdue amount?

You are advised to pay your overdue amount over an OTP ATM, on our Bill payment site, on the MyVodafone application, or with cash in a Vodafone store. As these payments are automatically validated, you do not need to send any additional proof of the payment to us.
Moreover if you initiate the payment over an OTP ATM it counts as a purchase, so no extra costs are charged, the transaction is free with a suitable bank card. The invoice can be paid also in our dedicated stores with cash or by bank card, which is also free of charge.
You may transfer the amount as well to the bank account of Vodafone Hungary, which is at Deutsche Bank under 16300000-04009163-90106414. For transfers from abroad you need the following data: BANK ACCOUNT: 16300000-04009163-90106414; IBAN: HU19; BIC (SWIFT): DEUTHU2BXXX
If you choose this kind of payment, please fill the Notes section with your account ID this way:
'AZ: 12345678'

What is the credit limit?

Each of our customers has a credit limit, which is a specified amount of money depending on the number of SIM cards (on your accountID) and the time elapsed since the conclusion of the contract. This credit limit has two part. One for the normal mobile usages (calls, SMSs, MMSs, premium and roaming usages, etc), and one for mobile payments (parking, mibile lotto, etc).

What is the mid-cycle bill?

If your turnover reaches 80% one of your credit limit (usage or mobile payment) in the current billing period, we inform you about this in an SMS. In that case you should pay attention to your traffic until the next billing day, because if you use up one of your credit limit totally, and reach 100%, we will create a mid-cycle bill with your actual traffic. You will be informed of this in another SMS. In this situation you may avoid increasing traffic until your billing day, or if you can make an overpayment, you can also avoid the mid-cycle bill. (The mid-cycle bill contains only traffic charges, which is independent from the monthly fee) It is important to know about the mid-cycle bill, that if you don't pay it until due date or your traffic increase continues (and you reach 20 % of the mid-cycle bill's amount), your outgoing calls will be barred. The amount of the mid-cycle bill will be deducted from the amount of your monthly invoice.

What is the e-Pack?

The e-Pack is…

  • Electronic billing without wasting paper
  • Discounted monthly fee
  • Instant online payment without waiting time in a store

How can you pay your invoices if you have the e-Pack?

  • On the website of Vodafone Hungary (After a registration here.)
  • On our payment site
  • With bank transfer
  • By ATM
  • Direct Debit from your bank account

What are the conditions of the e-Pack?

  • Registration for the e-bill
  • Electronic payment
  • Pay the invoices before the due date

If any of the above does not happen on time during a month, your upcoming invoice will contain an "e-Pack penalty", which price depends on your tariff plan. Example: If you have e-Pack, but you pay your invoice in a Vodafone store either with credit card or cash, there will be a penalty in your next invoice – as these kinds of payments do not count as electronic payment.

Mobile parking

How can I use my mobile phone for parking?

With the help of the Vodafone Easy Rider application you can start and stop parking easily, quickly everywhere in Hungary. As the application works with mobile data, you can save the SMS cost this way. If you are postpaid customer, the purchase will be represented in your monthly invoice. If you are a prepaid customer, you can pay the parking fee from your prepaid balance.

If you prefer to use the SMS process for parking, you can do that as well. When your parking-ticket expires, you don't have to go back to the parking area, it's enough to send another SMS. 15 minutes before the end of your parking you will receive a warning message via SMS. About the prices and most important information, you can read here.

What is the PIN code?

The PIN1 code is a number sequence that provides access to your SIM card and prevents the unauthorized usage of it. You need to enter this code when you turn on your phone. As a default setting, you have three opportunities to enter the correct number sequence. You can change the PIN code anytime. Please choose a code you will not forget.

Mobile number porting - Process, documents, conditions

What are the conditions of the mobile number portability (MNP)?

In the following section we list the basic conditions of the mobile number portability (MNP):

  1. Active phone number

    • The most important is that you can only bring active phone numbers to Vodafone.
    • Do not cancel your contract at the previous service provider before the MNP process.
  2. Own contract

    • Please note that only the owner of an active contract can request the MNP. This is valid both for prepaid and postpaid customers.
    • If the contract is not on your name, please change the ownership of the subscription for your own name before starting the MNP process.
  3. Appropriate customer data

    • Before you request the MNP process, please check all of your personal data at your existing provider (name, mother's name, date of birth, permanent Hungarian address, ID card/passport/driving license card number). This check is really important, as all the data of your old contract have to be exactly the same (each character) as the ones you start the MNP process with.
    • If you have signed your contract as private person/business/private enterprise at your old service provider, you need to accept your new contract at Vodafone also as private person/business/ private enterprise for the successful MNP.
  4. More than 30 days expired invoices

    • If you have postpaid subscription, you have to pay all your invoices at your old service provider which has been expired more than 30 days.

    • We recommend to confirm your actual balance after the payment at your old service provider, to check if it is really 0 HUF.

More useful information about the MNP:

What is time-window?

The time-window is that time period when the MNP process has to pass, on the given day between 20:00 and 24:00.

If my request was rejected how can I restart the process?

In most of the cases the rejection is caused by the different personal data at the old and the new service provider. First you need to check them at both places. If your data are wrong at Vodafone, you can ask the correction and the restart of the MNP process in a Vodafone shop.
If your data are wrong at your old service provider, you may ask their customer service to correct your data. After the correction you can restart the MNP with an SMS code, this is the easiest way. Please send SZH to number 1270 from your temporary Vodafone number.
